This instrument designed to make an elementary study of optical activity substances. The polar meter consists of two Polaroid’s, one of which acts as a polarizes and the other as an analyzer. Light is passed from the polarize to the analyzer from a lamp which, if desired can be replaced by a simple reflector provided at the base which can be rotated to make use of daylight.
