| Rheostats

| Rheostats are wound with heavily oxidized iron free nickel copper wire on vitreous enameled round steel tube. Contacts are of laminated phosphor bronze sheet. Resistance tolerances are +2% /-2% of the specified value. The marked current capacity is based on the tube being mounted vertically in free air with contacts operating at lower end of the hot portion of the winding or in case the current is passed intermittently. Should it be necessary to mount the tube horizontally or pass current for a long duration, the current should not exceed 75% of the marked value. |
